Translations

(Etheridge) And he said to them, Retire; for the damsel is not dead, but asleep. And they laughed at him.

(Murdock) And he said to them: Retire; for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they scoffed at him.

(Lamsa) And he said to them, That is enough; for the little girl is not dead, but she is asleep; and they laughed at him.

(KJV) He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
