Hebrews 7:23 - ܘܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܗܘܰܘ ܟ݁ܽܘܡܪܶܐ ܣܰܓ݁ܺܝܶܐܐ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܡܳܝܬ݁ܺܝܢ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ ܘܠܳܐ ܡܶܫܬ݁ܰܒ݂ܩܺܝܢ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ ܕ݁ܰܢܩܰܘܽܘܢ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) There were (moreover) many ^[high] priests, because they were dying, and were not permitted to remain.

(Murdock) And they as priests were numerous, because they were mortal, and were not permitted to continue:

(Lamsa) And these priests were many, because they were mortal, and they were not permitted to continue because of death:

(KJV) And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
