Translations

(Etheridge) because our preaching was not in words only with you, but with power, and with the Spirit of Holiness, and with the persuasion of truth. Also you know how we were among you, on account of you;

(Murdock) For our preaching among you, was not in words only; but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in genuine persuasion. Ye also know, how we were among you for your sakes.

(Lamsa) For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes.

(KJV) For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
