Translations
(Etheridge) Food is for the belly, and the belly for food; but Aloha will abolish them both. But the body was not for fornication, but for our Lord, and our Lord for the body.
(Murdock) Food is for the belly; and the belly is for food; but God will bring them both to naught. But the body is not for whoredom, but for our Lord; and our Lord for the body.
(Lamsa) Food is for the belly, and the belly for food: but God will do away with both of them. Now the body is not meant for fornication, but for our LORD; and our LORD for the body.
(KJV) Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
