Translations

(Etheridge) And fearing lest we should be found in a place in which were rocks, they cast forth from the hinder part of the ship four anchors, and prayed that it would become day.

(Murdock) And as we feared lest we should be caught in places where were rocks, they cast four anchors from the stern of the ship, and prayed for the morning.

(Lamsa) Then, fearing lest we find ourselves caught between the rocks, they cast four anchors from the stern of the ship, and prayed for the dawning of day.

(KJV) Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.
