Translations

(Etheridge) But in the early morn, as he returned to the city, he hungered:

(Murdock) And in the morning, when he returned to the city, he was hungry.

(Lamsa) In the morning, as he returned to the city, he became hungry.

(KJV) Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
