Translations

(Etheridge) And the Jihudoyee wondered and said, How knoweth this man the scripture, when he hath not learned ?

(Murdock) And the Jews wondered, and said: How knoweth this man literature, having not been educated?

(Lamsa) And the Jews marvelled, saying, How does this man know reading, when he has not been instructed?

(KJV) And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
