Translations

(Etheridge) and were not able to stand against the wisdom and the spirit which spake in him.

(Murdock) And they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit that spoke by him.

(Lamsa) But they were unable to stand up against the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.

(KJV) And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
