Translations
(Etheridge) But let your discourse be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay; for whatsoever is more than these is from the evil.
(Murdock) But let your language be, Yes, yes; or No, no; for whatever is beyond these proceedeth from evil.
(Lamsa) But let your words be yes, yes, and no, no; for anything which adds to these is a deception.
(KJV) But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
