Translations

(Etheridge) And they asked him, saying, How then say the Sophree that Elia must come before?

(Murdock) And they asked him, and said: Why then do the Scribes say, that Elijah must first come ?

(Lamsa) And they asked him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must first come?

(KJV) And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
