Translations

(Etheridge) But they answered, That (thou art) Juchanon the Baptizer; and others, that (thou art) Elia; and others, one from the prophets.

(Murdock) And they said to him: That [thou art] John the Baptizer; and others: That [thou art] Elijah; and others: That [thou art] one of the prophets.

(Lamsa) They said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and yet others, One of the prophets.

(KJV) And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
