John 19:42 - ܘܣܳܡܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܬ݁ܰܡܳܢ ܠܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܫܰܒ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ ܥܳܐܠܳܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܬ݂ ܘܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܩܰܪܺܝܒ݂ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܩܰܒ݂ܪܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And they laid there Jeshu, because the shabath was coming in and the sepulchre was near.

(Murdock) And there they laid Jesus, because the sabbath had commenced, and because the sepulchre was near.

(Lamsa) So they laid Jesus there, because the sabbath was approaching and because the tomb was near.

(KJV) There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
