Romans 9:32 - ܡܶܛܽܠ ܡܳܢܳܐ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܗܰܝܡܳܢܽܘܬ݂ܳܐ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܥܒ݂ܳܕ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܢܳܡܽܘܣܳܐ ܐܶܬ݁ܬ݁ܩܶܠܘ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܒ݁ܟ݂ܺܐܦ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܬ݂ܽܘܩܰܠܬ݂ܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) For why ? Because it was not by faith, but by the works of the law: for they stumbled at the stone of stumbling;

(Murdock) And why ? Because [they sought it], not by faith, but by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling-stone:

(Lamsa) Why? Because it was not sought by faith, but by the works of the law. So they stumbled at that stumbling-stone.

(KJV) Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
