Translations

(Etheridge) LET every soul to the powers of dominion be subject. For there is no power that is not from Aloha, and the powers that be, of Aloha are they instituted.

(Murdock) Let every soul be subject to the authorities of magistracy. For there is no authority which is not from God: and the authorities which exist, are established by God.

(Lamsa) LET every soul be subject to the sover eign authorities. For there is no power which is not from God: and those who are in authority are ordained by God.

(KJV) Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
