Translations(Etheridge) that it may not appear to men that thou art fasting, but to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret, he shall reward thee.(Murdock) that thou mayest not be seen by men as a faster, but by thy Father who is in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret, will recompense thee. (Lamsa) So that it may not appear to men that you are fasting, but to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret, he will reward you.
