Translations

(Etheridge) And they sought to apprehend him, but feared the people, because as a prophet they regarded him.

(Murdock) And they sought to apprehend him, but were afraid of the multitude, because they accounted him as a prophet.

(Lamsa) So they wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the people, because they regarded him as a prophet.

(KJV) But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
