Matthew 19:8 - ܐܳܡܰܪ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܡܽܘܫܶܐ ܠܽܘܩܒ݂ܰܠ ܩܰܫܝܽܘܬ݂ ܠܶܒ݁ܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܐܰܦ݁ܶܣ ܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܬ݂ܶܫܪܽܘܢ ܢܶܫܰܝܟ݁ܽܘܢ ܡܶܢ ܒ݁ܪܺܫܺܝܬ݂ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܠܳܐ ܗܘܳܐ ܗܳܟ݂ܰܢܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) He said to them, Musha, on account of the hardness of your heart, permitted you to send away your wives; but from the beginning it was not so.

(Murdock) He said to them: Moses, on account of the hardness of your heart, permitted you to divorce your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

(Lamsa) He said to them, Moses, considering the hardness of your heart, gave you permission to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it was not so.

(KJV) He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
