Translations

(Etheridge) And the Pharishee approached him, and, tempting him, propounded to him whether it was lawful for a man to send away his wife for every cause.

(Murdock) And Pharisees came to him, and tempted him and said: Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for every cause ?

(Lamsa) And the Pharisees came up to him and were tempting him and saying, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?

(KJV) The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
