Matthew 13:21 - ܠܰܝܬ݁ ܠܳܗ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܥܶܩܳܪܳܐ ܒ݁ܶܗ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܕ݁ܙܰܒ݂ܢܳܐ ܗܽܘ ܘܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܗܘܳܐ ܐܽܘܠܨܳܢܳܐ ܐܰܘ ܪܕ݂ܽܘܦ݂ܝܳܐ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܡܶܠܬ݂ܳܐ ܥܓ݂ܰܠ ܡܶܬ݂ܟ݁ܫܶܠ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) Yet hath he no root in him, but is (only) for a time; and when affliction or persecution occurs on account of the doctrine, he is quickly offended.

(Murdock) Yet hath he no root in him, but is of short duration, and when there is trouble or persecution on account of the word, he soon stumbleth.

(Lamsa) But it has no root in him, except for a while; and when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he immediately stumbles.

(KJV) Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
