Matthew 12:39 - ܗܽܘ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܥܢܳܐ ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܗܽܘܢ ܫܰܪܒ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ ܒ݁ܺܝܫܬ݁ܳܐ ܘܓ݂ܰܝܳܪܬ݂ܳܐ ܐܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܒ݁ܳܥܝܳܐ ܘܳܐܬ݂ܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܬ݁ܶܬ݂ܺܝܗܶܒ݂ ܠܳܗ ܐܶܠܳܐ ܐܳܬ݂ܶܗ ܕ݁ܝܰܘܢܳܢ ܢܒ݂ܺܝܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) But he answered them and said, A generation depraved and adulterous requireth a sign; but a sign shall not be given to it, but the sign of Jaunon the prophet;

(Murdock) But he replied and said to them: A wicked and adulterous generation demandeth a sign: but a sign will not be given to it, unless it be the sign of Jonah the prophet.

(Lamsa) But he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation wants a sign; and no sign will be given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

(KJV) But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
