Translations

(Etheridge) But he knew not what he said, for they were in fear.

(Murdock) But he did not know what he said, for they were in trepidation.

(Lamsa) For he did not know what he was saying, for they were in fear.

(KJV) For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
