Translations

(Etheridge) And they sought to apprehend him, but feared from the people: for they knew that concerning themselves he had spoken this parable. And he left them, and went.

(Murdock) And they sought to apprehend him, but were afraid of the people; for they knew that he spoke this similitude against them. And they left him, and went away.

(Lamsa) They wanted to seize him, but they were afraid of the people; for they knew that he spoke this parable against them; and they left him and went away.

(KJV) And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
