Translations

(Etheridge) And Juchanon answered and said, Raban, ^{[Our Master.]} we saw a man who was casting out demons in thy name, and we forbade him, because he came not with us after thee.

(Murdock) And John answered, and said: Our Rabbi, we saw a man casting out demons in thy name; and we forbad him, because he doth not, with us, follow thee.

(Lamsa) And John answered and said, Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in your name; and we forbad him, because he did not come with us, as your follower.

(KJV) And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
