Translations

(Etheridge) For what is helped a son of man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul, or perish ?

(Murdock) For, what will a man be profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose his life or be deprived [of it]?

(Lamsa) For how can a man be benefited, if he gain the whole world, but lose his own soul, or even weakens it?

(KJV) For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
