Translations

(Etheridge) And a certain man whose name was Jorush, head of the synagogue, fell before the feet of Jeshu, and besought him to enter into his house;

(Murdock) And a man, whose name was Jairus, a chief of the synagogue, fell down at the feet of Jesus, and besought him to enter his house;

(Lamsa) And a man named Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, fell at the feet of Jesus, and besought him to enter into his house.

(KJV) And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
