Translations

(Etheridge) And Jeshu demanded of him, What is thy name ? He saith to him, Legion: because that many devils had entered into him.

(Murdock) And Jesus demanded of him: What is thy name? And he said to him: Legion: because many demons had entered into him.

(Lamsa) Jesus asked him, What is your name? He said, Legion, because many demons had entered into him.

(KJV) And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
