Translations

(Etheridge) But when the disciples of Juchanon were gone, Jeshu began to speak to the people concerning Juchanon: What went you forth into the wilderness to see ? a reed from the wind shaken ?

(Murdock) And when John's disciples were gone, Jesus began to say to the multitude, concerning John: What went ye into the wilderness to see ? a reed agitated by the wind?

(Lamsa) When John's disciples had gone, Jesus began to speak to the people concerning John, What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed which is shaken by the wind?

(KJV) And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
