Translations

(Etheridge) Jeshu said to them, I ask you which is lawful to do on the shabath, good or evil, life to save or to destroy ?

(Murdock) Jesus said to them: I ask you, What is it lawful to do on the sabbath ? that which is good ? or that which is evil ? to save life or to destroy [it] ?

(Lamsa) Jesus said to them, I will ask you, What is lawful to do on the sabbath, that which is good or that which is bad? to save a life or to destroy it?

(KJV) Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
