Translations

(Etheridge) And they said one to the other, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he spake with us by the way, and explained to us the scriptures ?

(Murdock) And they said one to another: Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and explained to us the scriptures?

(Lamsa) And they said one to another, Were not our hearts heavy within us, when he spoke with us on the road, and interpreted the scriptures to us?

(KJV) And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
