Luke 20:26 - ܘܠܳܐ ܐܶܫܟ݁ܰܚܘ ܠܡܶܐܚܰܕ݂ ܡܶܢܶܗ ܡܶܠܬ݂ܳܐ ܩܕ݂ܳܡ ܥܰܡܳܐ ܘܶܐܬ݁ܕ݁ܰܡܰܪܘ ܥܰܠ ܦ݁ܶܬ݂ܓ݂ܳܡܶܗ ܘܰܫܬ݂ܶܩܘ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and they wondered at his answer, and were silent.

(Murdock) And they could not catch from him a word [of accusation] before the people: and they were surprised at his answers, and were silent.

(Lamsa) And they were not able to get a word from him before the people; and they were amazed at his answer, and kept silence.

(KJV) And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
