Translations

(Etheridge) AND, behold, a certain Sophra stood up to try him, saying, Malphona, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?

(Murdock) And behold, a Scribe stood up to try him, and said: Teacher, what must I do, to inherit eternal life?

(Lamsa) And behold, a scribe stood up to test him, and he said, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

(KJV) And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
