John 7:18 - ܡܰܢ ܕ݁ܡܶܢ ܨܒ݂ܽܘܬ݂ ܪܶܥܝܳܢܶܗ ܡܡܰܠܶܠ ܫܽܘܒ݂ܚܳܐ ܠܢܰܦ݂ܫܶܗ ܒ݁ܳܥܶܐ ܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܫܽܘܒ݂ܚܳܐ ܕ݁ܡܰܢ ܕ݁ܫܰܕ݁ܪܶܗ ܒ݁ܳܥܶܐ ܫܰܪܺܝܪ ܗ݈ܽܘ ܘܥܰܘܠܳܐ ܒ݁ܠܶܒ݁ܶܗ ܠܳܐ ܐܺܝܬ݂ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) He who from the will of his (own) mind speaketh, the glory of himself seeketh; but he who the glory of him who hath sent him seeketh, is true, and no iniquity is in him.

(Murdock) He that speaketh according to the pleasure of his own mind, seeketh glory for himself: but he who seeketh the glory of him that sent him, is veracious, and evil is not in his heart.

(Lamsa) He who speaks of his own accord seeks glory for himself; but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him, he is true, and there is no deception in his heart.

(KJV) He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
