Translations

(Etheridge) Now it was Kaiapha, he, who had counselled the Jihudoyee that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

(Murdock) And it was Caiaphas who counselled the Jews, that it was expedient, one man should die for the people.

(Lamsa) Caiaphas was the one who had counselled the Jews, that it was better for one man to die instead of the people.

(KJV) Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
