Translations

(Etheridge) And if of the world you were, the world its own would have loved; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you from the world; on which account the world hateth you.

(Murdock) And if ye were of the world, the world would love what is of it. But ye are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; for this cause, the world hateth you.

(Lamsa) If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; this is why the world hates you.

(KJV) If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
