John 1:5 - ܘܗܽܘ ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ ܒ݁ܚܶܫܽܘܟ݂ܳܐ ܡܰܢܗܰܪ ܘܚܶܫܽܘܟ݂ܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܐܰܕ݂ܪܟ݂ܶܗ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) and the Light himself in the darkness shineth, and the darkness perceived him not.

(Murdock) And this light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.

(Lamsa) And the same light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overcome it.

(KJV) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
