Translations

(Etheridge) Juchanon testified concerning him, and cried, and said, This is he of whom I said, that he cometh after me, and was before ^{[Kedom, coram, ante.]} me, because he is anterior ^{[Kadomi, antiquus, vetus, prior, anterior.]} to me.

(Murdock) John testified of him, and cried, and said: This is he, of whom I said, That he cometh after me, and is before me; for he was prior to me.

(Lamsa) John witnessed concerning him and cried and said, This is the one of whom I said, He is coming after me, and yet he is ahead of me, because he was before me.

(KJV) John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
