Translations

(Etheridge) Thus also the Meshiha glorified not himself to be a High Priest; but He ^{[invested him with that office]} who said to him, Thou art my Son, I to-day have begotten thee.

(Murdock) So also the Messiah did not exalt himself to become a High Priest; but He [appointed him] who said to him, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

(Lamsa) So also Christ did not glorify himself by becoming a high priest, but he glorified him who said to him, Thou art my Son, Today have I begotten thee.

(KJV) So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
