Acts 5:23 - ܐܳܡܪܺܝܢ ܐܶܫܟ݁ܰܚܢ ܒ݁ܶܝܬ݂ ܐܰܣܺܝܪܶܐ ܕ݁ܰܐܚܺܝܕ݂ ܙܗܺܝܪܳܐܝܺܬ݂ ܘܳܐܦ݂ ܠܢܳܛܽܘܪܶܐ ܕ݁ܩܳܝܡܺܝܢ ܥܰܠ ܬ݁ܰܪܥܶܐ ܘܰܦ݂ܬ݂ܰܚܢ ܘܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܠܳܐ ܐܶܫܟ݁ܰܚܢ ܬ݁ܰܡܳܢ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) and said, We found the house of the bound shut carefully, ^{[Or, cautiously.]} and the keepers standing at the gates: and we opened, but no man found we there.

(Murdock) and said: We found the prison carefully closed, and also the keepers standing before the doors; and we opened, but found no one there.

(Lamsa) Saying, We found the prison carefully locked and also the guards standing at the doors; and we opened them but found no man there.

(KJV) Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
