Acts 28:3 - ܘܦ݁ܰܘܠܳܘܣ ܫܩܰܠ ܣܽܘܓ݂ܳܐܐ ܕ݁ܚܰܒ݁ܽܘܒ݂ܶܐ ܘܣܳܡ ܥܰܠ ܢܽܘܪܳܐ ܘܢܶܦ݂ܩܰܬ݂ ܡܶܢܗܽܘܢ ܐܳܟ݂ܶܕ݂ܢܳܐ ܡܶܢ ܪܰܬ݂ܚܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܽܘܪܳܐ ܘܢܶܟ݂ܬ݁ܰܬ݂ ܒ݁ܺܐܝܕ݂ܶܗ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And Paulos took many sticks and placed upon the fire; and there came forth a viper from the heat of the fire, and bit (him) in his hand.

(Murdock) And Paul took up a bundle of fagots and laid them on the fire: and a viper, [driven] by the heat, came out of them, and bit his hand.

(Lamsa) And Paul picked up a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire and a scorpion driven by the heat, came out and bit his hand.

(KJV) And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
