Translations

(Etheridge) For he disputed forcibly against the Jihudoyee before the assemblies, while he showed from the scriptures concerning Jeshu, that he is the Meshiha.

(Murdock) For he reasoned powerfully against the Jews, before the congregation; and showed from the scriptures, respecting Jesus, that he is the Messiah.

(Lamsa) For he forcefully and publicly argued against the Jews, proving by the scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

(KJV) For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
