Translations

(Etheridge) Every man as he hath in his mind: not as of vexation or as of constraint; for a cheerful giver the Lord loveth.

(Murdock) Every man, according to his own views, not with sadness, not by constraint: for the Lord loveth a joyous giver.

(Lamsa) So let every man give according to what he has decided in his mind, not grudgingly or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.

(KJV) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
