Translations

(Etheridge) and because of these we had concluded (for) death; [Phasakan mautho.] that we should not have hope in ourselves, but in Aloha, who raiseth the dead:

(Murdock) And we passed a sentence of death upon ourselves, that our confidence might not be in ourselves, but in God, who raiseth up the dead;

(Lamsa) And we decided to die, not trusting in ourselves but in God who raises the dead:

(KJV) But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
