1Corinthians 8:8 - ܡܶܐܟ݂ܽܘܠܬ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܠܳܐ ܡܩܰܪܒ݂ܳܐ ܠܰܢ ܠܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܐܶܢ ܐܳܟ݂ܠܺܝܢܰܢ ܡܶܬ݂ܝܰܬ݁ܪܺܝܢܰܢ ܘܠܳܐ ܐܶܢ ܠܳܐ ܢܶܐܟ݂ܽܘܠ ܡܶܬ݂ܒ݁ܰܨܪܺܝܢܰܢ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) But meat doth not bring us nigh to Aloha. For if we eat, we excel not; nor if we eat not, are we deficient.

(Murdock) But food doth not bring us near to God; for if we eat, we do not abound; and if we eat not, we are not in want.

(Lamsa) But meat does not bring us closer to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither if we do not eat, are we the worse.

(KJV) But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
