Translations
(Etheridge) Yet, if they persevere not, they should marry; for it is better to take a wife than to burn with concupiscence.
(Murdock) But if they cannot endure [it], let them marry: for it is more profitable to take a wife, than to burn with concupiscence.
(Lamsa) But if they cannot endure it, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
(KJV) But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
