1Corinthians 1:28 - ܘܰܓ݂ܒ݂ܳܐ ܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܨܺܝܪ ܛܽܘܗܡܗܽܘܢ ܒ݁ܥܳܠܡܳܐ ܘܰܠܡܰܣܠܰܝܳܐ ܘܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܠܰܝܬ݁ ܐܶܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܰܢܒ݂ܰܛܶܠ ܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܺܐܝܬ݂ܰܝܗܽܘܢ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) and he hath chosen those of low birth ^{[Or, mean family.]} in the world, and the outcasts, and those who are nothing, to bring to nothing those who are;

(Murdock) and he hath chosen those of humble birth in the world, and the despised, and them who are nothing, to bring to naught them who are something:

(Lamsa) And he has chosen those of humble families in the world, and the lowly, and those who are insignificant, in order to belittle those who consider themselves important,

(KJV) And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
