Translations

(Etheridge) For the Meshiha sent me not to baptize, but to preach; not with the wisdom of words, lest the cross of the Meshiha should be nullified.

(Murdock) For Messiah did not send me to baptize, but to preach; not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Messiah should be inefficient.

(Lamsa) For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel: and not to rely on the wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be in vain.

(KJV) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
