Translations

(Etheridge) For they thought that he was with the sons of the company; and when they had gone the journey of one day, they sought him with the men and with any who knew him.

(Murdock) for they supposed he was with his companions. And when they had travelled a day's journey, they sought him among their people, and [inquired] of every one that knew them.

(Lamsa) They thought that he was with the children of their party; and when they went a day's journey, they sought for him among their own people and those who knew them.

(KJV) But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
