Translations

(Etheridge) For this Malki-Zedek is king of Sholim, the priest of Aloha the Most High. And he (it was who) met Abraham when he returned from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him.

(Murdock) Now this Melchisedec was king of Salem, a priest of the most high God: and he met Abraham, when returning from the slaughter of the kings; and blessed him.

(Lamsa) FOR this Mel-chis'e-dec was king of Sa lem, the priest of the most high God, who met A'bra-ham, returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

(KJV) For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
