Translations

(Etheridge) And some began to spit on his person, and they struck him on his face, and did buffet him, saying, Prophesy ! and the servitors struck him upon his cheeks.

(Murdock) And some began to spit in his face, and to buffet him, saying: Prophesy thou. And the servants smote him on the cheeks.

(Lamsa) Then some of the men began to spit in his face, and to cover his face, and to strike him on his head, saying, Prophesy; and the soldiers smote him on his cheeks.

(KJV) And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
