Translations

(Etheridge) And Herodes said, The head of Juchanon I have cut off; but who is this of whom I hear these (things) ? And he willed to see him.

(Murdock) And Herod said: The head of John, I have cut off; but who is this, of whom I hear these things? And he was desirous to see him.

(Lamsa) So Herod said, I have beheaded John; but who is this one concerning whom I hear these things? And he wanted to see him.

(KJV) And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
